20 Oct Azubi-Info Tour 2020
What is a high-tech start-up and what does a physics and chemistry laboratory technician actually do? In the framework of the Kernen trainee info tour, our CEO Dr. Norman Mechau answered questions from about 50 students from the Rumold-Realschule Kernen.
And not only that, but also the students can also try out a lot themselves. At three set-up stations, supervised by our students from Esslingen University, the high schoolers were able to take measurements of electrical conductivity, program with a Raspberry Pi, and use the practice applying thin layers. The look behind the scenes was completed by lectures on our products and services, as well as the organization of our company. For us, the tour is a great opportunity to come into contact with young and motivated people.
To provide schoolchildren with professional orientation and to establish initial contacts with companies, the “Roter Faden” association organizes an annual trainee information tour for secondary school students in ninth grade in Kernen.
A total of 21 companies and facilities in Kernen were part of it. We were there and are curious to see whether we could get one or the other student enthusiastic about peptech. In 2021 we will offer a training position as a physics and chemistry laboratory assistant.
